Small Works exists as a print shop and an educational community. To facilitate this, we will be posting videos that teach about the printing processes, what they’re best used for, about design theory, and about how to best connect with your commuinties through design.

The shape, size, and style of the protest poster has long been dictated by access to printing machines and printing materials. This video explains how the produciton of graphic materials is tied to technologies of that time, and how we can think about technology  available to us in the same way.

This video walks through makeready, setting your gauge pins (or blocks) and how to center something on a page without having to use a ruler. Very good advice, and very practical.
